the hi/lo thing is when you get on the board, a number is there and you can double your money by going higher or lower than the number. It will stitch you alot though cause you’ll be on like 11 and go lower & it will be a 12.

There is usually a reel numbered from 1 to 12. It will be already on a number, for example 3. You have to press high or low to decide if the next number is going to be higher or lower than the number currently displayed. So if 3 were showing, you have better odds that a number higher than 3 will show up since there are only two numbers below, yet 9 numbers higher. Usually winning one of these spins will advance you to the next prize up, losing will make you lose your win entirely.

The way fruit machines work in the UK is more complicated than places like the US. But keep in mind they are not quite so random either. Generally when a machine has decided to pay out a nice prize, it will offer the chance to win that prize. But that chance requires some skill or knowledge on the part of the player. If the player fails to capitalize on this chance, eventually the player will simply have the win given to them. But this takes time and therefore more money.
