fumbasduck asked: A group of friends were discussing one persons fruit salad and how the grapes were peeled. We thought it would be a rotten job for someone but also wondered how it could be done by machine as we thought the grapes would be crushed.
Anyone in the know?

They actually arn’t peeled. The peelings just get very soft from being in the liquid so long.
Well, seeing as our nanna’s apparently knit Shreddies (thats why they taste so good) I can only presume that perhaps our pappa’s strip grapes with some kind of special Pappa fruit strippiung fluid………
Perhaps they lightly balche them ina weak stock syrup so the skins fall away
It’s not that HARD to peel grapes… i can do it with my fingernails…
but what the other answerers said is true… they may blanch them in liquid until the skins just drop off
The grapes are boiled and then the peels simply slide off.
