I’m sorry but if there was a web site that told you how to always win on fruit machines, do you think they would tell anybody else…..please, do me a favour

I don’t think that’s true though. Slot machines are state regulated and have to have a certain win/loss ratio.

Not possible. All slots today operate with a random number generator.
Even the manufacturer couldn’t tell you a way to always win. If there was they would change the program.

It is important to understand the difference between slot machines and fruit machines.

A slot machine is an American word for it, and in America slot machines are purely random. In theory it is possible, if not unlikely, to win the jackpot five times in a row.

A fruit machine is a specifically British term, and those machines are not random at all. They specifically use psychological tricks to look random, but they are not. They are designed to take in a certain amount of money before paying out. If you know the machine well it will often give you a feature, hold, nudge, or gamble opportunity to win the jackpot first. If you keep messing that up, eventually the jackpot will simply drop in. But it will cost more money to get to that point than if you know how to exploit that specific machine earlier.

The trick with a British slot machine is to recognize when it ‘wants’ to pay out and take the opportunity it gives you. If you miss that chance you will have to spend a bunch more money to get another chance.

The thing with holds was specific to some machines in the 90s. If two symbols came in and then you were offered holds, if you held the two like symbols and spun you would lose. If you ignored the holds and let all three reels spin you would win.

Equally, there were other machines that if you held the same reels three times in a row (if it let you do that) on the third time you would win. But often it would only offer you the holds twice and then not let you hold a third time.

I’ve seen some fruit machine sites out there that talk about specific games. There is a definite advantage to learning the games, since it will help you win sooner than if you are completely ignorant of the game.

Unfortunately ZCT isn’t correct the 5 reel slots in the US and the fruit machines in the UK are run in basically the same way. There two EPROM chips involved one controls the main feature and holds the random number generator and the other controls the bonus rounds. The difference is in the way the machines have been developed to give a different kind of bonus on the US slots the bonus will generally be free games, where as the UK slots will be cash prizes. The percentages are very close although the US allows more of spread.

ZCT is perfectly correct ,the UK slot machine market is different to most other countries. In the UK there are 2 types of slot machines , RANDOM machines and REFLEX(or non random machines). The relfex machines vary their payout depending on previous play , aiming to acheive a target payout percentage of 80% , this type of machine is found in pubs , cafes and high street and seaside arcades and their are various techniques and methods to beat them.
The random machines found in casinos can never be beat (legally at least ) though soe models in the past have had ways that the note/coin/payout process could be confused to make the machine issue free credits, these faults were very quickly fixed.
